Economic Impact Payments, or as they are commonly called, "Stimulus Payments," are already arriving in people's bank accounts. Payments are only being made electronically. Have a question about the money you received (or think you should receive)? The Internal Revenue Service has a website to help taxpayers receive their payments. Perhaps you need to give the IRS your bank account information. Maybe you didn't file and need to claim a payment anyway. Or possibly you have some other question.
Go to the IRS website, where information for all of the above (and more) is available. Still have questions? Be sure to see the "Get more information" section at the bottom for FAQs. For security reasons, the IRS plans to mail a letter about the economic impact payment to the taxpayer’s last known address within 15 days after the payment is paid. The letter will provide information on how the payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the payment. If a taxpayer is unsure they’re receiving a legitimate letter, the IRS urges taxpayers to visit IRS.gov first to protect against scam artists.
